Maze Hair Long Crendon

Hair Extension – Maze Hair expand to Long Crendon

Maze Hair. It’s growing.

Congratulations to Maze Hair. Despite the economic downturn, this Thame based salon has opened a new business in Long Crendon. Not cutting, but growing.

Covid-19 and the lockdown has seen so many independent business’s suffer. So it’s refreshing to see Maze Hair buck the trend and open a second salon.

It’s roots are in Thame. Established in July 2012. Maze Hair was started by Proprietor, Mel Blanks. She was joined shortly after by Salon Partner (and former boss), Zoe McCormac. The pair have worked together for 17 years.

Both are highly experienced hairdressers and have established a successful business in North Street, Thame.

The opportunity to open their second salon was too good to resist. The time was right, the location ideal and the size perfect.

Increasing numbers of clients coupled with two newly trained stylists meant it was time to expand. Maze pride themselves on bringing through stylists that they have trained up. Now there is more space for them to work.

Of course, needing more space could have meant simply relocating to a larger premises. Maze however wanted to retain the friendly intimacy of their Thame Salon, hence the opening of a similar size Salon. The new Salon has a contemporary feel, finished in black, grey and silver. Stylishly re-fitted by Blanks Property, Thame.

Maze has taken over a Long Crendon Salon that had been in business until recently for 20 years. Maze will build on a respected reputation, but will bring in their innovative style of working.

Maze Long Crendon will be offering the same service as Thame. Both traditional and modern, including cutting, styling, colouring and perms, as well as hair extensions and Nano Keretin Hair Smoothing.

Maze welcome new and existing clients to Long Crendon. Mel, Zoe and the team will split their time between Thame and Long Crendon.

Fewer and fewer salons are willing to cut children’s hair. Not so at Maze. They are welcome along with men and women.

The Long Crendon Salon will soon have a beauty room for manicures, pedicures and so on.

It also has a room for private consultations. Maze provide a wig styling service for people suffering from alopecia, cancer and medical hair loss.

Zoe has completed the My New Hair course taught by Trevor Sorbie.

Maze are committed to the cause and provide a caring and sensitive service for their clients.

My New Hair have produced a booklet of advice and information on what happens when you lose your hair, choosing a wig, having your wig styled to suit you and aftercare/ hair re-growth in conjunction with the Department of Health and Institute of Trichologists. They call it the Patient Information Resource. Visit the My New Hair website for more information.

A wig fitting service is also available to trans gender clients.

For Mel and Zoe, these are exciting times. Good luck to Maze and their new hair extension.
